Little Hannah

I just want to share with all of you (whom will be reading this entry lol ;P) few of Hannah’s portraiture (Hannah is my lecturer’s daughter btw) that I took during my course family day in my university two weeks ago. The pictures that I am going to show you here are in monotone style (be it black & white, sepia, and etc..) and most of the pictures were taken candidly.

Hannah, she’s a cute little litto witty naughty girl… She’s so pretty with her lovely curly hair which I truly admired…

Wedding: Azalinor & Suhaila

This is my first time shooting a wedding and I feel very honored to be given the opportunity to be one of the photographers during Azalinor (Saujana) & Suhaila wedding reception last Saturday (6th June 2009). I didn’t know that I am going to shoot a wedding of Saujana’s member though. Wallahi! I was invited by Azizat (he’s my friend and also the groom’s brother by the way and I was informed that his brother, Azalinor is Saujana’s member on the wed day itself!). It makes me a little bit nervous…

There were another two photographers for the wedding reception – they both are Peng, and Sam. Alhamdulillah we had lots of fun working together as a team throughout the event and I consider this as my first good start for wedding photo shoot.

I haven’t finish with my editing for all pictures taken during the reception yet. The pictures above and also in my Facebook [here] serve as for public viewing purposes (only). And insha Allah there’ll be another photo shoot sessions of this couple for their outdoor wedding photo shoot. Will update about it once it is done. *finger cross*

Mastering the composition

Currently reading Digital Camera Magazine – ‘Master Composition’ (PDF version ;P). And I have something interesting to share here, the book says:

If there’s one element that can radically improve your photographs, one feature that can lift your picture from snapshot to art, it’s a sense of composition. Today’s cameras and image processing software provide impressive control over exposure and color balance, but your photos will never succeed if the contents don’t gel together.

I am using the above picture to show the example of doing the composition process. And I am using the technique of cropping to give an ‘impact’ to the picture (as an attempt to create more powerful image). And of course I did some editing process in order to make it looks more interesting too. And below is the original version of the picture.

When it comes to photography, I love ‘playing’ with the composition and most of the time what I did was, I did the cropping process to the picture in order to get a ‘lively’ part from the original picture.

Silhouettes

Hi all. Thanks to you for your kindest heart to keep on visiting this abandoned blog. Honestly I was extremely busy with life and I just came back from my short holiday two days ago. During my holiday, it is kindda hard to get a connection to the internet you know. Well yes, I did online for few times using Celcom broadband but honestly it was holy slow!

As I said in NonoWrites.COM, I was away for my holiday to Pekan, Pahang for almost two weeks. During my days in Pekan, I got the opportunity to go to the beach and there I was trying to capture the silhouettes of my little aunty. She’s 11 and she’s my nanny-younger-sister’s daughter and her name is Syiqin. Hohoho… It is kinda funny to explain all these for you guys to read, though! ;P

There were only 3 silhouettes of Syiqin that I managed to capture that day. I requested her to jump but she refused to. Hmmmmm…

There were no extravaganzas editing for the pictures above but what I did was I just deepen the color of the pictures. And I am using the Photoscape editor for the editing.

Capturing a silhouette isn’t that hard especially if you’re at the beach.

Portraiture: Tita

I went out with SIG (Special Interest Group in Facebook) members last weekend and since I am still in my portraiture mode, so most of my captures were all subjected to portraiture. And this time my portraiture shoot is modeled by Tita.

Honestly, I like the way she did all the poses. She is very loose in front of the camera and whenever I direct her to do any pose, she knows how to do it and knows how bring out the persona that I wanted to capture.

Friendship: Yas, Mun & Ida

Two weeks ago, I had an opportunity to went out for a shooting with three young ladies known as Yas, Mun and Ida. Honestly, I had lots of fun doing my first trial of friendship shooting with them. And here’s the video of them… Enjoy!

Portraiture: Puteri

Wohooooo~ I finally found it, guys! Haha…. *jumping* ‘Cus all these while I have been searching for a place with long coarse grasses for “my next photo shoot activities” and I just discovered that there are loadsssssss of long coarse grasses in my university (behind the female sport complex)… And honestly, the scenery of that place is really damn cool and beautiful…

Anyway…
I had a very interesting photo shoot session with Puteri last Wednesday and these are some of my favorite shots of her surrounded by beautiful long coarse grasses. I hope you like it.
